Symptoms of Troubles With Your Heavy-Duty Engine
- Poor fuel efficiency - If your engine is using up fuel faster than normal, there may be something wrong. Fuel filters and fuel injection systems can become clogged, making your engine work harder, or even misfire or not start at all.
- White smoke coming from exhaust - If you see white smoke coming out of your exhaust system, you've probably blown your head gasket. This can be accompanied by an overheating engine and issues with your coolant, so it needs to be dealt with immediately.
- Metal shavings in oil - If you notice metal shavings in your engine oil, it means your engine isn't being properly lubricated. Metal shavings mean that components within your engine are being filed down and there is too much friction. Your engine may overheat as well.
When any of these symptoms or other issues are occurring with your engine, bring your diesel truck to Springfield Diesel right away! Same-day services are usually available and we offer a one-year warranty on all of our workmanship.
